Orton-Gillingham Associate Level Training
TEC is again partnering with Deb Morris, Orton Gillingham Fellow, to offer a third cohort of Orton-Gillingham Associate Level training. This training consists of 70 hours of virtual coursework and instruction, 10 individual observations of educators and their students, and individual educator support. Orton Gillingham specifically addresses DESE’s Dyslexia Guidelines and is a complement to other district initiatives that address student reading difficulties.

About the Instructor
Deb Morris, M.Ed., ATF/OGA Deb Morris is the founder of Orton-Gillingham Nation, which offers online tutoring, as well as training at the Classroom Educator, Associate, Certified, and Fellow levels. She is an Accredited Training Fellow of The Orton-Gillingham Academy and serves on its Standards Committee. She holds a Master’s degree in Literacy Education and is a licensed Secondary English teacher and Reading Specialist.
Deb has worked at an innovative high school in Providence, RI, providing 1:1 and small group Orton-Gillingham instruction for students. She has been an Orton-Gillingham Specialist Curriculum Director. Deb is currently working with individuals, schools and districts to bring the science of reading into the classroom.
