Deborah Caligaris has dedicated the past 11 years to serving as the Principal of TEC High School, where she has been actively involved in promoting social-emotional learning. She has been actively engaged with the Massachusetts Organization of Educational Collaboratives and has presented at the Leadership Academy. Her career in education commenced as a Guidance Counselor, and she has subsequently held various positions working with students and educators, including Assistant Principal and Principal.

Deborah's expertise lies in integrating social-emotional learning (SEL) into different aspects of the educational experience, employing methods such as daily mindfulness, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Universal Design for Learning (UDL), and Personalized Learning. She recognizes the significance of emotional management in shaping the school environment and believes that providing appropriate support enables every individual to achieve their goals, even if they follow different paths.

Deborah holds a Master’s Degree in Counseling and a BA in Sociology from Fitchburg State University.
