Lisa Freedman
Program Director
TEC Academy - Phoenix and Lower Campus
Lisa brings to her role at TEC decades of experience in special education, as a high school teacher, student services department head, professional development coordinator, integrated preschool director, and member of a district leadership team, most recently in the Westwood Public Schools. She has extensive experience building and leading specialized programs to support students with unique needs and their families. Lisa holds a Master’s degree in Special Education from Lesley College and a BA in Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania. Outside of work, Lisa enjoys spending time with her family, walking her dog, and reading.
Sean Nugent
Assistant Program Director
TEC Academy - Phoenix
Sean has been an administrator with TEC since 2022. Sean brings to TEC 30 years of experience working with students in therapeutic and specialized programs in both private and public school systems including Walker, Boston and Randolph. Sean holds a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership and a BS in Business Administration from the University of New England. He is a Professional Certified Trainer in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention for both schools and families from Cornell University. Sean also works with high school students as a Lacrosse Coach. He is a music enthusiast and Patriots season ticket holder.
